Alex graduated with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2003 and has gained a wide variety of experience within private practices and hospitals in the UK and Australia. She completed her Polestar diploma of Rehabilitation in Clinical Pilates in 2008. She has also completed a diploma in personal training and completed strength and conditioning courses which she uses to compliment her Physiotherapy and Pilates skills. Her interests are in helping people manage musculoskeletal and sporting injuries especially spinal, pregnancy and post-natal exercise as well as balance and falls prevention.
She has been involved in research conducted by Monash University for the benefits of Pilates for preventing falls and with Melbourne University looking at the effectiveness of using Pilates to treat lower back pain.
In her spare time she runs after her 3 sons, and enjoys running and riding through the trails in the local area.
