Miriam Lye
Remedial Masseur
Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Melbourne Institute of Massage and Myotherapy in 2024
Miriam completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Melbourne Institute of Massage and Myotherapy in 2024, following many years of work in the disability sector. It was through this work that she was exposed to the healing ability of human touch, and the role manual therapy plays in rehabilitation and maintenance of both physical and mental health. As a remedial therapist, Miriam has a wide variety of modalities to draw upon, with a special interest in myofascial techniques, vacuum cupping, and nervous system regulation practices. Miriam uses her thorough understanding of biomechanics to not only respond to sites of discomfort but the body systems as a whole. She is qualified in pregnancy massage and is passionate about women’s health and the ways remedial therapy can be of support to people in times of physical change. Miriam understands the importance of taking time to slow down and tune into the body. Holding space and bringing awareness to the body is a large part of Miriam’s treatments. Through in-depth discussion, musculoskeletal testing, and tailored treatments she works with her clients to achieve their mobility, comfort, and wellbeing goals.
